Chapter Eight

Me: Really, Patricia? You are making too much money because of me. Right?” Patricia: “What are you saying, baby boy. I miss you my little brother. What do you want me to bring you from London?” Me: “So you are seeing me as your rightful candidate to use your charms on, so that you will become rich?” Patricia: “What? You sound serious indeed Nigel. Who is using Muti (charms) against whom? Me!!!!!!! Okay brother, I will be there next week on Monday then you will tell me that crazy story of yours” she hung the call, seemed angry and puzzled about my allegations. These strong accusations require sustained mental attention that will benefit to refresh my mind was distracted, by having a walk to stretch my legs and clear my head. I went outside the house to refresh with these thoughts.

When our parents died, Patricia was the one who took care of me and paid all my school fees. Even from clothing, I was a step ahead with style compared to other to other boys in the village because of Patricia. Everything I ever wanted she gave me, how she would do that to me? If she comes and kicks me out of the house where did I go? Maybe my conjectures are incorrect? What if I told her what is happening maybe she could help me? At the moment, that flash of frustration protected me from the pain. Where I to relive it, I would try to summon more strength. “Everything will be okay Daddy, don’t stress right” said Rosemary touching my shoulder and sat next to me with her arm around my waist. I slowly and length nodded my head showing agreement and understanding, but was just disguising her to believe that I was on the same page.

Rosemary: “Nigel, I love you my husband. I don't know how to thank God for giving me a good-hearted husband like you. Be the man, put stress on God.... hmmm our god helps us Daddy. I am here for you” she added with her hand running over my chest. Me: “I love you too, Rosemary, thank you for saving my life yesterday. I didn't know that you are a good swimmer” for sure she deserves my compliment, without her I don't know. Oh... Nigel guys, so you're telling me that you were failing to get out of that dam? I was watching you waiting to see if you could escape.”

She added with a very slow sweet voice. “You did a great job out there. I thought I was dying. Where did you learn to swim?” Rosemary: “Where I came from they call me a sea-diver. I once saved two girls who were captured by mermaids. Unfortunately, one died the other survived. People who were there said I was the one who killed her. That my retribution I get from them.” Me: “They said you killed her how? Tell me about it, love. ” Rosemary: “you know, Nigel. It's a long story, but let me tell you in short.
